x86 Resource-Aware Scheduler Prototyping Tool

About Project

A runtime system that allows for rapid prototyping of resource-aware scheduling methodologies directly from user space on x86 processors. Handles memory management, signal handling, creation & termination of programs, and collection and analysis of experimental results. Uses Intel's Memory Bandwidth Monitoring (MBM), Cache Management Technology (CMT), and Cache Allocation Technology (CAT) when available, in addition to the Model Specific Registers (MSRs).


Written in C with embedded assembly. 


Tested on Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3, 2.40 GHz (Haswell architecture) and     

Intel Xeon Gold 6130, 2.10 GHz (Skylake architecture).
